Then again, I have been swamped with work and school, so there is a good chance I simply haven't paid enough attention to notice.

With that said, it has been a busy week, paranormally speaking.

Earlier this week, Gabe (my husband) and I were in bed watching a movie. Our boys were all sound asleep and our teenage daughter was spending the night elsewhere. Suddenly, we both heard a loud "MOM" coming from downstairs. It sounded as if my daughter were standing at the bottom of the stairs, calling up to me because something was wrong. However, I knew she wasn't home and I thought it odd for anyone to be calling me from downstairs as no one was down there. Gabe went to investigate and found no one or nothing amiss.

Wednesday I worked from home because I was not feeling well. Our home office is on the lowest level of our condo (our condo is three stories), situated immediately behind the garage. As I was at my desk, I heard a soft thump and someone call for help, as if they were injured, had stumbled into something and were too weak to help themselves. It sounded as if it were coming from either inside my garage or immediately around it, but when I checked, no one was to be found anywhere.

Then last night, all of my children were in bed and Gabe was at work (he works 3rd shift). I am a very light sleeper, to the point of simply opening my bedroom door usually wakes me up unless you are very careful and quiet about it....a trait none of my children possess. My children all have a habit of coming into my room during the night and waking me, because they either aren't even remotely quiet about it or because they leave the door open, so the light from the hallway wakes me up. I also have been in the habit of locking my door at night to prevent this, knowing they would knock if they needed me. I have insomnia and very rarely sleep at night. I wake up at 2am almost every night and last night was no different. However, this time, I woke up to the light on my husband's side of the bed on. Now, this puzzled me for a few reasons.

1. My bed is nestled into a small nook with a window. The window is large and we have a light mounted on either side of the window, which just happens to fall on each side of the bed, like night reading laps. If you are laying on your side of the bed, you just have to reach behind your head to turn your light on. However, to turn the light on on the other side of the bed, you have to actually get up to do so, you can't reach it from your side of the bed. Meaning, I could not have turned it on in my sleep, as I would have had to actually get up to do so.

2. Due to the size of the nook and the positioning of our bed, a child would not be able to reach the switch without actually getting into the bed. So there is no way one of my children would have been able to sneak into my room and turn the light on, because the second they got into the bed, it would have woke me.

3. My husband tried to use the light the other night and it would not turn on. We assumed the bulb blew out and I am pretty sure the light was then unplugged.

So how the light turned on is a mystery to me. No one was awake when I woke either.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13453703313599517163noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1331363383512583534.post-10049222864156571672016-06-29T17:30:00.000-05:002016-06-29T17:34:29.067-05:00Remember the Alamo! So I haven't posted on here (or in any of my blogs) lately and it needs to stop! Haha!

So last weekend my daughter and I headed to San Antonio for Vans Warped Tour. We had a complete blast, but did want to make a weekend out of it, so we got a hotel and decided to heard to the Alamo and the Riverwalk the next day.

I was completely unaware that the Alamo was literally just situated in the middle of San Antonio. We parked and were walking to where it was to be and all of a sudden WHAM! there it was. Obviously, I was in awe to be seeing a piece of history for the first time. I mean, the Alamo is a 300 year old building. It isn't often you find something that old in this neck of the woods.

The second we approached it, the energy of the place hit me HARD! I immediately felt anxious and my heart started racing. As we walked around, I felt a heaviness in my chest (which is a trigger to me that spirit energy is around) and randomly just wanted to burst into tears. I actually got so overwhelmed that I had to leave and the feeling didn't subside until I was blocks away.

Now I am no stranger to spiritual energies, spirits themselves or the likes...but this is the first time I have ventured into a place so rich with history. It was a little more than I was prepared to handle. I'll need to really ground myself next time and mentally prep so that I don't end up feeling like I am about to have a panic attack.

It is a beautiful place and very interesting through. I'd recommend it if you have never been. But if you are at all "sensitive", please note there is a lot of energy there.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13453703313599517163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1331363383512583534.post-12465168541901416262014-10-17T02:29:00.000-05:002014-10-17T02:31:59.222-05:00Voices

A few days ago I was up in my bedroom on the computer working and watching a movie (I have two monitors so I work in one and watch a movie in the other). My dog was laying on the bed behind me and my two younger boys were downstairs playing. All of a sudden, I heard an unfamiliar child's voice. I paused the movie and listened. I heard nothing but my boys. I assumed it was my imagination or something and went back to work. About a minute or two later I heard it again. I turned to hear it better and my dog even perked up and stared at the door. I heard it again and clearly my dog did too because he took off out of the room barking. I thought maybe a neighbor came to the door and my boys answered it. Nope. They were playing quietly in the living room.

The next morning, my daughter was about to head out the door for school and all of a sudden turned and asked me if one of her brothers was downstairs in the office. I told her no, that he wasn't even awake yet. She got a puzzled look on her face and said she just heard heavy breathing coming from the little hallway area that leads to the office. Our house is three levels and if you stand at the front door there are stairs that go down to the office and stairs that go up onto the main floor. That is where she was standing when she heard it.

Everyone was already in bed sound asleep when we returned and we were still pretty wide awake, so we camped out on the sectional watching TV until we passed out.

In the middle of the night I woke up for one reason or another and as I was settling back down to sleep, I heard a female voice whispering something. I actually heard what it said, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was. I immediately thought it was my daughter, so rolled over to find her sound asleep and snoring. I then thought maybe one of the kids came downstairs so I sat up and checked around and found myself to be the only one awake. The TV was off and there was no sound in the house other than my fan.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13453703313599517163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1331363383512583534.post-21331028355919010822014-03-20T08:19:00.001-05:002014-03-20T08:19:32.144-05:00Moved!So we moved into a new place over the weekend. So far, things have been very quiet around here. I do feel that there may be a presence here, but it feels calm and peaceful. As of right now though, we have had no experiences.

However, when we were moving out of the old place, we kept hearing random bangings and seeing shadows. I think our resident ghosts were simply sad to see us going and were trying to let us know.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13453703313599517163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1331363383512583534.post-11715499643079671062014-01-15T12:52:00.002-06:002014-01-15T12:52:19.766-06:00InterestingSo I told my daughter about what I saw on the track at her school and she responded with, "oh I know, he watches us run a lot when we are out there". She said it like it was nothing...lol. Apparently, he is often seen up there on or around the track. Good to know it wasn't just my eyes playing tricks on me.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13453703313599517163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1331363383512583534.post-88827139031647846562014-01-14T20:03:00.001-06:002014-01-14T20:03:43.744-06:00Finally Some ActivityEarlier today I was relaxing and watching a movie when I heard someone walking around in my daughter's bedroom. The only one home besides me was my three year old son who was sound asleep in my bed with the door closed. Both of my dogs were outside and all of the cats were laying on the floor next to me. I heard it on and off for a good two hours and found nothing amiss each time I checked.

Then around 6pm, I decided to go take a run. I have a shin splint, so I decided to just walk up to my daughter's school (a block away) and run around the track there. I was alone except for a few people playing soccer on the field behind the track. It was starting to get dark and as I was coming around the curve of the track I saw someone wearing black cross from the grassy section in the middle of the track to the track in front of me. I started to slow down so I wouldn't run into them and then wondered where they came from since I didn't see anyone else out there. I turned to look at them and they were gone. No one was anywhere to be found. The track is fenced in on two sides with a rock wall on a third side and then a drop down to the soccer field on the farther end. There was nowhere for anyone to go without being seen.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13453703313599517163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1331363383512583534.post-65218974666466396332014-01-07T21:51:00.000-06:002014-01-07T21:51:10.031-06:00Nothing to ReportAll has been pretty quiet around here lately. It always does this time of year and lasts until around the new year before dying off again.

I have been seeing random flashes of light and movement out of the corner of my eye lately. Nothing major yet.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13453703313599517163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1331363383512583534.post-26591733784034401192013-07-10T20:11:00.000-05:002013-07-10T20:11:16.635-05:00Coming to VisitFor the past few days I have been seeing someone in white walking up to my front door. I always catch them out of the corner of my eye through the front window. I always expect a knock, but there never is one. When I do look, no one is ever there.

This is something that used to happen a lot when we first moved in, but hasn't happened in a while.

I should also add that my home butts up to a wooded area. There is nothing past my front door but trees. There is nowhere for anyone to go.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13453703313599517163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1331363383512583534.post-81297222423196141362013-06-07T08:20:00.002-05:002013-06-07T08:21:35.937-05:00Hello There!Last night I had been thinking a lot about my family members who have passed on recently. I was thinking about how they would view how I am currently living my life and what I would say to them if I could speak to them. At one moment, I was thinking about my uncle who had passed on unexpectedly within the past year. All of a sudden, I felt something poke me quite hard in the head, just above my forehead. I thought I had maybe hit my head on something and immediately looked up, finding nothing. Then I suddenly felt like I needed to laugh and it hit me. My uncle (the very one I had just been thinking of) always used to flick or poke me in the head. It was his playful little way to tell you he loved you. Once I realized this, I smiled and said hello to him out loud and all of a sudden a calmness hit me followed by joy. I could feel him wanting to hug me and tell me he loved me and the kids. I mentally hugged him back and let him know I loved him too.

It was such a nice little visit. :)

However, we did go on vacation last week to Houston. I was awakened several times in the hotel at night by someone in the room talking. We had a room at the end of a hallway and were the only occupied room for a while in the area of the hotel. I could barely even hear people talking when they actually WERE right outside my door, so I know it wasn't coming from outside the room. I can't quite remember what was said, but I do know it was always a female voice and it happened a few different times.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13453703313599517163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1331363383512583534.post-72516474258437059172013-01-08T22:51:00.002-06:002013-01-08T22:51:43.813-06:00HappeningsI have been meaning to update for a few days now, but I have been so busy (and exhausted) lately that it kept slipping my mind.

First of all, a few nights ago I was laying in bed. I couldn't sleep for the life of me, so I was just laying in bed gazing off towards the little "nook" where my sink is and where the bathroom and closet doors are. I was daydreaming, when all of a sudden I saw a grey/black object move near the wall. The best way to explain it is that is looked much like a hand of someone batting at a fly. It kind of came from the wall and went out and down, before disappearing. I thought it was odd because it was large and much like a shadow. I just kind of let my gaze stay on that area for a while before resuming my daydreaming. A few moments later, I saw a white "mass" on the wall near where I had seen the previous object. It almost looked like a reflection, but I had NO lights on in my room and the only light that comes in the window due to it's location are lights from the occasional plane flying overhead. I thought maybe my eyes were messing with me, so I just sat there staring at the area where it had appeared (it was only there a quick moment) and tried to figure out what it was. As I sat there perplexed, I was startled by what I can only describe as a red orb. It appeared on the wall near the ceiling and seemed to radiate some peculiar white light from it before disappearing. It seriously made me jump because it basically flashed on the wall. I can't really explain it.

The following night, I was sleeping on the couch. Something woke me. I am not sure what. I laid awake for a moment, just listening to the house. All was silent. As I curled up to go back to sleep, I heard a loud groan. It sounded much like the sound someone makes when they stretch out really well. I thought it was my dog, but when I finally located him, he was much to far away to have made the sound. The groan seriously sounded like someone was standing right next to me.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13453703313599517163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1331363383512583534.post-66454507318581473312013-01-03T21:31:00.002-06:002013-01-03T21:31:32.287-06:00Looking out for you....When I am asleep and my husband wants to wake me, he simply taps me gently on the leg. I am a very light sleeper, so this always wakes me immediately.

My husband is currently on a two week break from his day job since he works for the school district. This means he is home during the day lately and has been letting me rest up if and when I need it.

Several times recently, I have been napping in the bedroom and have been awaken by the feeling of someone tapping on my leg. I always roll over expecting to see my husband standing there (since he is the only one who wakes me this way) and l always find myself in an empty room. I always get up anyway when this happen and always find that my children in some way need me because my husband has passed out on the couch...lol. The first few times it happened I thought nothing of it. However, this morning changed that for me.

I am overcoming the flu. When my husband got home from his night job he immediately told me to go upstairs and get some more rest if I felt I needed it. Of course, I headed up to bed. Hours later I was awaken by the familiar tapping on the leg. I rolled over, found an empty room and decided to get up. As I left the bedroom I found my six year old autistic son standing in his room crying. I was wondering why my husband hadn't tended to him, so I called out to him. No answer. I called again. No answer. My middle son then came up wondering what the commotion was about and ran downstairs to get his daddy upon my request. Up the stairs came a bleary-eyed husband, who had clearly fallen asleep. Upon going downstairs, I found the living room trashed and my two year old in an extremely dirty diaper. My husband insisted he didn't intend on sleeping and that he must have "dozed off". Mmmhmm.

When I thought about it, this tapping feeling ONLY happens when my husband sends me off to sleep and falls asleep himself and my children need me. I think someone is looking out for us and waking me when needed. Who? I have no idea. I am internally grateful though.

(I should also add then I am a very light sleeper, so when I know someone else is tending to my children I go into my bedroom and close the door and put a fan on high to drown out the noise. My husband also has servers in our bedroom that made a fair amount of noise, so if the door is closed I don't hear ANYTHING outside the room unless it is really loud. Just adding that in case anyone wonders who a light sleeper would need a ghostly friend to wake her when all hell breaks loose...lol.)

Things have been happening frequently, but they don't really seem big enough to blog about individually. I think I will start that though. :)Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13453703313599517163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1331363383512583534.post-77817145449935486832012-11-17T20:49:00.003-06:002012-11-17T20:49:52.662-06:00Past Experience #1I can't remember exactly how old I was when this incident happened.

I had my own bedroom and my siblings shared the bedroom next to mine.

I had been in my bedroom watching TV. I was getting hungry, so I decided to go downstairs and grab myself some chips or something to snack on. As I stepped into the hallway, I noticed that the light was on in my sister's bedroom. I peeked into the room and saw her sitting on the floor playing with her toys. I smiled at her and asked her if she was having fun. She simply looked up at me and smiled. I then turned and went downstairs to grab the chips. As I was downstairs, I decided that I would peek into the living room to see what everyone else was doing. As I stepped into the living room, I suddenly stopped dead in my tracks. There, in the couch between my mother and father, sat my sister.

Now, there was no way she could have gotten past me without me seeing here. Also, when I asked my mother, she said my sister has been sitting there for quite a while watching a movie with them.

I always think they are awake and go up to check on them to find them sound asleep in their beds. The noises I hear are quite different than settling sounds a home makes each night. They continue on and off most of the night, vary in loudness and move throughout the room.It clearly sounds like someone upstairs moving around, but no one is ever there when I check. My boys also are only four and six and are TERRIBLE at faking like they are asleep, so it isn't like they are up playing and then jump into bed again and pretend they are asleep as soon as they hear mom coming up the steps. Plus, they have bunk beds and my four year old sleeps on the top bunk. He would be the most likely candidate to pull a stunt like that, but it takes him some time to climb up and down the ladder. I would hear/see him if he tried to hurry and get back into bed.

I also have been seeing dark shadows moving around the apartment. The most recent occurrence was yesterday. I was sitting here on the computer reading through some threads on another site when it looked like someone walked past the window nearest the TV. I turned, but no one was there.

Halloween night, I was laying on the couch trying to get some sleep. I had heard something that woke me, so I rolled over to get comfortable again. As soon as I had settled back down, I felt a hand tap my shoulder. It was a strong tap and I felt more than one finger, so it was like someone trying to get my attention. I thought it was my daughter and quickly rolled over only to find the room empty.

Our back door keeps opening itself. We have had issues with it latching properly for a while now, so when you would push on it with a decent amount of force it would swing wide open. You would have to apply quite a bit of force behind it to get it to open, which is why it would always swing wide open. However, it isn't doing this now. It will pop open just a bit...almost like someone attempted to close it but didn't close it fully so it just sort of catches but doesn't fully close. I didn't think much of it until today. I had let my male dog outside. My female dog was in her crate and everyone who was home was in the living room with me. Now my male dog is a chihuahua mix and is much too small to get the door open on his own. However, went to pour myself a cup of coffee and found him inside....and the door closed. I didn't let him in. No one else did either.

Also, last night I was kept awake most of the night by odd sounds. It was almost as if someone were roaming around the apartment mumbling to themselves and moving random things. No one was awake and I never found anything when I would get up to look, but the noises continued most of the night.

A few days ago, everyone in the house was asleep other than myself. I was about to head to bed, when I remembered that I needed to switch over the laundry so that my son would have a clean uniform to wear to school the following day. Once done, I decided to quickly start a load of dishes in the dishwasher as well. As I walked into the kitchen from the bathroom, I happened to glance into the living room and saw a woman wearing white sitting at the end of my chaise. She was kind of hunched over as if she were looking down at my sleeping son, who was in a play yard at the end of the chaise.

Later that same night, I was laying on the couch reading a book. All of a sudden, I saw a face peek around the doorway from the kitchen as if it were looking for me.

On another occasion, I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep. I had just rolled over onto my stomach. All of a sudden, I felt something jump up onto the bed and land on my feet. I thought it was my dog (a chihuahua mix), so I rolled over expecting to see him on the bed and found nothing. The door was closed and had not opened. As I was about to get up and see what happened, I heard a clear sound of someone quickly running through the hallway outside my door. Everyone in the house was asleep.

I woke up the other night to the sound of my middle son screaming. He does this often in the middle of the night (bad dreams), so I laid in bed waiting to see if he would continue or if it was just a scream he had done in his sleep. Once I realized he was asleep still, I rolled over to go back to sleep. Suddenly I felt someone tap on my butt. I rolled over thinking it was my husband trying to wake me up and found no one in the room and my door still closed.

My daughter and I have both been smelling smoke. It isn't coming from outside. The smells seems to stay mainly upstairs and has no apparent source. It is a burning smell, not like that of a cigarette or cigar.

Last night I was laying on the couch watching TV. Right behind the TV is a window. The shades were down and I had all the lights off. No lights were on outside that reached this window. The only light that was on these shades was what was coming from the TV itself. As I was watching TV, I suddenly saw movement on the shades and looked up just in time to see the silhouette of a person pass from right to left. Now here is what makes this odd. The silhouette was the size of an adult. It was not distorted at all. Now my window is set next to a chimney for my fireplace. The fireplace is to the immediate right of the window. In order for it to have been someone outside, they would have had to been right up next to the window, which means they would have to had walked OUT of chimney itself and passed across the window. It actually looked to me like it was INSIDE the room. Perhaps another shadow person?

I kept seeing flashes of light around the front door. They were almost as if someone were standing in another room flashing a flashlight towards the door. No one was awake but myself. The only way light could shine in this area from outside is through the back door, but the shades were drawn and no light was coming in each time I saw these flashes.

I heard the sound of a car growling in the same area of the flashes. It was much to loud to be coming from outside. I even checked outside and saw nothing.

I also heard a loud thump, as if something fell onto the wood floor near the front door (in the same area as the previous two). I had a clear view of the area when I heard it and not only did nothing fall, but nothing was there.

I was laying on the couch reading, when I heard the distinct sound of someone walking around and banging things around upstairs. My boys' room is immediately above where I was laying and they have a habit of playing late at night, so I went up to tell them to be quiet and found them both fast asleep. No one else in the house was awake and the sound continued most of the night.

Last night, I was sitting at my computer reading over posts on a website I frequent.

My computer desk is in one corner of my living room, so that when sitting at the computer, my back is to the kitchen.

I had the kitchen light on and the light was illuminating my desk and the wall above it.

As I was reading over things on the computer, a shadow appeared on the wall in front of me and move quickly away, as if someone had stepped into the doorway to the kitchen and blocked out the light and then quickly moved away.

I honestly thought it was my daughter coming down for a late-night snack and turned around to greet her, only to find nothing. Everyone was in bed, sound asleep.

About an hour later, I was laying on the couch reading a book when I heard the distinct sound of a soda can opening. I again thought it was my daughter, but quickly found that she was sound asleep in her room.

Then today, my boys were in the living room watching Blue Clues. I was watching them dance around to the song on the show when I suddenly heard a child's voice murmur something. I couldn't make out what it said, but it wasn't any of my boys as I was looking right at them and none of them spoke. The TV was playing a song at the time, so it wasn't the TV. The voice was really out of place and sounded female. No one was outside. My daughter wasn't home. It was odd.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13453703313599517163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1331363383512583534.post-24332805181900017812012-08-09T21:51:00.000-05:002012-08-09T21:51:24.180-05:00Let Me InJust a few moments ago, my male dog (George) wanted outside.

I walked to the back door to let him outside.

Now, I also have a female dog (Calypso) that is much larger than my male who has to be crated at night due to using the floor as a bathroom when she isn't supervised. We keep her crate in the back room, right near the back door.

As I went to let George outside, Calypso pawed at the crate door, letting me know that she too wanted outside. Now when she is outside, I have to lock the back door because she has figured out how to jump up and paw the door knob until the door opens.

So I let both of the dogs outside and locked the door. I checked to make sure it was locked and also pulled on the door to make sure it latched closed properly as sometimes it doesn't catch. The door was securely closed and locked.

I then went to my desk to finish watching a show that I had pulled up on the computer. All of a sudden I heard a playful growl. It was too loud to have been outside, so I got up to look and found the back door wide open and the dogs wrestling in the back room.
